Caring Tips

Watering

When watering, you should make sure to avoid waterlogging. The substrate surface should be 2-3cm dry before the next watering can is used. In addition, the Monstera Adansonii Variegata Aurea feels particularly comfortable with a humidity of at least 65%. However, it is not advisable to spray the leaves, as otherwise unsightly spots could appear on the yellow-variegated areas, which are very sensitive.

Light

Due to its natural origin, the Monstera Adansonii Variegata Aurea prefers a bright location, but this should be without direct sunlight to avoid burning the leaves. An ambient temperature between 20°C and 30°C would be ideal. The Monstera Variegated Aurea needs more light than the Monstera Adansonii due to its light leaf markings!

PLANT INFO

The Monstera Variegated Aurea is a very rare plant with special discolorations in the leaves. This plant is very similar in shape to the Monstera Adansonii, but has softer leaves due to lighter leaf patterns. If there is a plant that you can feel like watching grow, it has to be the Monstera Adansonii Variegata Aurea. This plant is a very rare subspecies of the normal, green Monstera Adansonii. Due to a unique gene mutation, the variegated form produces a beautiful, random yellow tint on its deep green leaves. In combination with its naturally perforated leaves, it is a real eye-catcher in every plant collection. The Monstera Adansonii Variegata Aurea grows really fast in good conditions, so that you can even look forward to a new leaf up to a week.
Like all Monstera species, the Monstera Adansonii Variegata Aurea belongs to the aroid family. Its original origin is in the tropical areas of South and Central America and on the Caribbean islands.
