Watering

When hibiscus are in their blooming stage, they require large amounts of water. Hibiscus will need daily watering in warm weather. But once the weather cools, Hibiscus needs far less water, and too much water can kill it. In the winter, watering the hibiscus only when the soil is dry to the touch.

Light

Hibiscus flowers best in temperatures between 60-90 F. (16-32 C.) and cannot tolerate temperature below 32 F. (0 C.).

An evergreen shurb growing 1-3 meters, the Hibiscus rosa-sinensis flowers frequently in hot and humid conditions. Endemic to south east Asia, Hibiscus rosa sinensis is grown ornamentally world wide, and is one of the most common plants to use in labratories for its flower.
