Caring Tips

The soil mix should be kept lightly moist during spring | summer and slightly drier during the fall and winter months. Don’t let it become completely dry. The plant is undemanding when it comes to watering, but does prefer high humidity, so it’s a good idea to place container plants on a bed of wet pebbles. Mist hanging baskets frequently. Water moderately throughout the growing season and reduce watering during cooler months.

The arrowhead plant does well in medium to low light settings and thrive in bright, indirect light. They do not like exposure to direct sunlight. If you are only able to provide medium to lower light conditions, you may do better with one of the deeper green cultivars. These tend to do better in shaded conditions.

Syngonium angustatum is commonly known as the arrowhead vine and is native to Mexico and Central America. This climbing plant can also be grown as a trailer, with a more chaotic, wild growth style. It’s fast growth, leaf shape and color makes this a perfect plant for anyone who wishes for their home to soon be a indoor jungle.
Syngonium angustatum has deep green leaves with multiple lobes when the plant is more mature.  Seedling leaves feature lighter green veins, but lack the multi-lobe characteristics. Additionally older leaves still do feature lighter veins especially when given brighter conditions.
Syngonium angustatum should be grown in a well light area without direct sun exposure.
