Caring Tips

Watering

He likes lightly moist soil, so give him a drink whenever the top two inches of soil feel dry.

Light

He likes quite a lot of light, but direct sun can be a bit harsh. A bright room, away from a window, is ideal.

PLANT INFO

A rare and unusual houseplant, it’s easy to see why this alocasia is much sought after. Appropriately nicknamed alocasia stingray, its leaves look like a fever of stingrays (yes, that’s the collective noun - who knew?) winding through the air.
Like a lot of alocasia, this plant grows natively in humid forests across Asia. Also like most alocasia, it likes those conditions mimicked in a home. Because it’s used to growing under other trees, it likes bright light but not direct sunlight. It loves slightly moist soil and lots of humidity.
